In diesem Beitrag möchte ich einige Musikprogramme für DOS vorstellen, die sich sowohl mit FM-Synthese als auch mit Modulen beschäftigen.
Der Adlib Tracker ist im Prinzip vergleichbar mit einem normalen Tracker für Module.
Der Unterschied besteht jedoch darin, dass man nicht auf entsprechende Samples angewiesen ist, da der Klang über die FM-Synthese erzeugt wird.
Es gibt mehrere Tracker, die sich mit FM-Synthese beschäftigen, allerdings ist die Handhabung beim Adlib Tracker vergleichsweise einfach.

Die Anzahl von neuen Veröffentlichungen dürfte bei FM-Musik eher gering sein.
Bekannte Module-Tracker für DOS:
- Impulse Tracker
- Fast Tracker
- Scream Tracker
Es gibt selbstverständlich noch weitaus mehr Tracker für DOS, allerdings haben diese 3 Module-Tracker schon eine gewisse Popularität erreicht.
Die Popularität von Modulen war jedoch auf dem Amiga erheblich höher, als auf einem DOS PC.
