Wenn ich schon RSYNC zum Daten sichern erwähne hier noch CRON um die Sache Backup noch weiter zu vereinfachen, Freeware in der Public Domain.

Another fine software goes public domain, because I just asked the
author! :-) Sorry, that Tron can't offer source code, but he lost it all
several years ago. :-/ But a binary in public domain is better than
nothing, I think. CRON19.ZIP is available from many sites, e.g.,
